Why oh why is July so busy?! I have some event or another every weekend. Starting it off, of course, is the 4th BBQ we are throwing. As much fun as it will be, I am trying desperately to get my house all nice and clean before then, but amidst the monsters, it seems to be futile. Although I did manage to find my closet floor and my yarn stash is organized and nicely put away. (Priorities right?)
I am MUCH farther along on that sweater than is pictured. I am now at a standstill while I decide what to do with the sleeves. I also wound up the last remaining skeins of the yarn (Nor Cash Iroha) and found that 1 of the skeins was about 12 grams LESS than it should have been. And I need EVERY yard in order to finish this sweater. GRRRRRR, I am going to contact the company as the place I bought it from is all out.
In the mean time, I am swatching with this gorgeous yarn here:
On the left is Blue Sky Alpaca Sportweight and on the right is the luscious Suri Merino by Blue Sky. This yarn is definitely up there on my favorites list just from the swatch. It is sooo soft. I bought them both to try for a design rattling around in my brain and I have yet to knit with the other. I have decided and I love the color. This picture does not do it justice. It is much deeper red than shown.
I realize that I sound yarn obsessed. This doesn't bother me as I fully accept this part of my personality. (The rest of the family on the other hand, may not agree, although I am blessed with a strangely accepting husband of said obsession even though he only has 1 hand knit sweater, 2 pairs of socks and 2 hats to show for it)
Ok back to work. Sheesh. Cleaning sure does take a bite out of my knitting time.

The problem is that it is probably worn out from old age, which would not look too nice for a bag.
